The radio I took out was on a 2013 Toyota Tacoma, but the procedure is about the same from 2005-2013! This is a very simple radio to take out!
Tools you need to take out the radio!
- Panel popper tool
- 10 mm socket
First pry off the AC controls, they come off pretty easily. Use your Panel popper tool, and place it along the side or bottom, try to get it under AC control panel and pry it off. It comes off pretty easily!
This is a picture of what it looks like behind the AC controls panel. Once the panel is popped off it will look like this and you will see four 10 mm bolts. Unscrew all four bolts and than pull the radio out. The radio has a couple clips at the top so you might want to use your panel popper tool to assist with pulling the radio out!
